An Act of Faith
O my God, I firmly believe that You are
one God in three divine persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I believe that
Your divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that he will come to
judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the
holy Catholic Church teaches because You have revealed them, who can neither
deceive nor be deceived. Amen.
An Act of Hope
O my God, trusting in Your promises and
because You are faithful, powerful and merciful, I hope, through the merits of
Jesus Christ, for the pardon of my sins, final perseverance and the blessed
glory of heaven.
An Act of Love
O my God, because You are infinite
goodness and worthy of infinite love, I love You with my whole heart above all
things, and for love of You I love my neighbor as myself. I forgive all who have
offended me and ask pardon of all whom I have offended.
An Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having
offended Thee and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and
the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who are
all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy
grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
